If you want the best portrait lens then this is it. The only slight problem is the focus is slower than other canon AF lenses. When you see the size of the glass you will understand why. This is accurate focus with incredible bokeh. You won't be sad you bought this lens. Also think how much lighter your wallet will feel. It may even eliminate back pain from sitting on such a fat wallet.
